Lohse's outing, Weeks bat power Brewers past Dodgers

MILWAUKEE - For a brief time, it looked as if Kyle Lohse's strong outing would go to waste. But then the Brewers bats woke up and assured the Brew Crew an opening round win in a heavyweight battle of two of the NL's best teams.

Rickie Weeks hit a three run homer in the eighth, one inning after a four-run outburst by the Brewers offense gave them the lead. By the time Brandon Kintzler recorded the final out, the Brewers had walked away with an impressive 9-3 opening win in a series against the team with the NL's best record.

Lohse pitched six innings, giving up one run.
