MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Cuban Americans in Milwaukee are continuing protest demonstrations about the food and medicine shortage in Cuba.
Organizers gathered Sunday, June 25, at the Mitchell Park Domes to call on President Biden to lift the U.S. economic blockade on Cuba, which has been in place since the 1960's.
"We're trying to encourage President Biden to honor his campaign promise," said Art Heitzer of the WI Coalition to Normalize Relations with Cuba. "Which is to reverse the Trump additional super sanctions on the people of Cuba."
This was the fourth march for the Wisconsin Coalition.
Today's demonstration in Milwaukee coincided with another rally in Washington D.C. where a caravan of Cubans and supporters arrived from Miami.
