Summer Gallery Night MKE returns this weekend with 50+ art venues
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Even though the Packers are in their offseason, that is not stopping quarterback Jordan Love from continuing his charitable work. That includes right here in downtown Milwaukee.
St. Joan Antida High School Girls Soccer Team was just one of the 26 teams across the state to be recipients of the "Love for Cleats" campaign.
To celebrate, the school hosted a pep rally that included a video message from Jordan Love, as well as the distribution of brand-new cleats to all members of the team.
"I mean, you can't really play without them so, and they can be pretty pricey too, so it's crazy that someone would give them to us, I just never thought anyone would be so kind and generous of doing that," said Brisa Serna, Captain, St. Joan Antida Varsity Soccer Team.
St. Joan Antida started their soccer program just three years ago. Many of the players do not have easy access to equipment, making the donation that much more meaningful for the team.
