Local father defends filing a restraining order against 5-year-old boy

PLEASANT PRAIRIE, WI-- The family of a 6-year-old girl who filed a restraining order against a 5-year-old boy, says the boy has been placed in a different classroom at Prarie Lane Elementary School.

\"Now that I've done all this, they finally took him out of the classroom my daughter is in, but it's not enough,\" said Brian Metzger, father of the 6-year-old girl.

Metzger continues to defend his decision to file a restraining order against the boy, because he's afraid of what the child might do after making some death threats.

\"It started with 'I want to slit your throat and watch it bleed.' To her getting pushed around on the playground, getting rocks thrown at her,\" said Metzger.

After the story aired on CBS 58, Metzger says he got some backlash on social media. Including comments saying he should've contacted the parents of the boy, before taking it too far.

\"If they knew the facts, they'd know the parents have been contacted by the school,\" said Metzger.

Kenosha Unified School District confirms the boy's parents were notified of the situation and say they are working to accomodate both families. Metzger hower, wants to the District to take it to another level.

\"I want him removed from the school district, period,\" said Metzger.

CBS 58's Sandra Torres tried contacting the boy's family, but according to a family friend, they do not want to talk to the media.

A hearing on the restraining order is scheduled for May 2oth.
