Local families celebrate 'Sunday Family Fun Days' at Henry Maier Festival Park
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Families across Milwaukee spent Father's Day at Henry Maier Festival Park for the start of this season's "Sunday Family Fun Days."
The free event, which took place on Sunday, June 18, offered a variety of activities ranging from games to face-painting and tie dying.
In a nod to Father's Day, the organizers arranged for all fathers to receive a complimentary beer upon entry.
Jerrod Woods, Senior Director of Marketing with Milwaukee World Festival, Inc., told CBS 58, "It's a great place for families to come and hang out. It's close to downtown Milwaukee, it's free and accessible for everyone. This is for the community first and foremost."
Three more "Sunday Family Fun Days" events are scheduled for this year: July 16, Aug. 6, and Sept. 17. These gatherings will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering more opportunities to join the festivities.
