OAK CREEK, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Tackling the "honey do" list is priority one for so many of us these days while we wait for the "Safer-at-Home" order to be lifted. Renovation projects are probably a fairly high priority as well.
The folks at J. Edward Renovations say having all the right tools, including an impact drill, tape measure, and miter saw are crucial. It's important to have plenty of room to work and keep the gloves off when around powerful machinery. Project Manager Jason Woda stresses it's important to wear the right kind of clothing as well. He says to stay away from any kind of strings hanging down from a hooded sweatshirt for instance. Those strings can easily get caught in any powered tool like a saw.
Many pros will tell you when it comes to electrical and plumbing to leave it for the experts and not try to tackle these particular projects yourself. Also, YouTube is a good point of reference for what you might be undertaking, including drywall or window trim work.
