You hear about retail stores struggling in this online age, but new stores keep opening in Brookfield.
Friday was the grand opening for L.L. Bean's first Wisconsin store at the New Corners of Brookfield Complex along Bluemound Road. LL Bean specializes in clothing and gear for the outdoors. Wisconsin people love the outdoors so it makes you wonder what took so long!
"We like to have our stores in places where they're very accessible to people, where there's an outdoor piece of it, we like our stores to be outside. So when the Corners of Brookfield development started to happen, it really came together one piece after another," said L.L. Bean Senior Vice President Ken Kacere.
The new L.L. Bean will have some special events over the weekend including free fly casting and archery lessons on Saturday. Games and activities for the kids on Sunday.
