Lind powers Brewers past Mets in homestand opener

Adam Lind's two hit performance helped bring in two Brewers runs and powered Milwaukee to a 3-2 win over the New York Mets in the opener of a week long homestand.

Lind drove in Ryan Braun with a first inning single, then in the seventh, Lind doubled to left and Carlos Gomez raced home after Mets left fielder Michael Cuddyer misplayed a bounce near the left field corner.

Mike Fiers allowed two runs and struck out seven over six innings, but Will Smith picked up the win with an inning and a third of scoreless relief.
