The cold air has gone away for now and the wind has died down. Now we look towards the type of weather falling from the sky. A little light mix and snow will be possible the next few days for some of us. Any of the precip chances the next 72 hours look very disorganized so any precipitation will remain very light.
First up is a chance for some light wintry mix on Wednesday. Some rain, mix and snow is showing up on radar to our west but little of it is actually reaching the ground. Any snow should be very light but the one concern may be some drizzle with temps below freezing that could lead to slick spots.
A little light snow is also possible on Thursday. It looks more like flurries or a few isolated showers more than anything. Once again any accumulation will be very light, if anything.
The bigger storm system we were watching for Friday evening into Saturday continues to shift to our west and looks like it will miss our local area. Instead a northeast wind takes hold of the area Thursday evening into Friday morning. If conditions are right we could see a little bit of lake effect snow.
