MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes has now received his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Both Barnes and State Representative Kalan Haywood received their shots at North Division High School in Milwaukee.
The lieutenant governor said he wanted to wait until everyone who needed a vaccine was eligible.
Meanwhile, Governor Tony Evers has already received both doses of the vaccine.
Today, as eligibility for the COVID-19 vaccine expanded to all Wisconsinites 16 and older, I happily received my first dose at the walk-in site at North Division High School in Milwaukee. Getting the vaccine is safe and easy, and it’s critical to stopping the spread of the virus. pic.twitter.com/IhmQ0NSCZz
