Let The Summer Fun Begin. Time for The Wisconsin State Fair

165 years of "traditional" summertime fun plays out for yet another year at State Fair Park in West Allis.  The annual State Fair kicks off at 8 am this morning.  And perhaps the one big change this time around is the metal detectors placed at every entrance.  Organizers want you to realize there might be some minor delays but nothing too long.

Once in the park, the world's your oyster whether you're talking about food on a stick, cream puffs, great music or even livestock.  Our Michael Schlesinger spent some time early Thursday morning seeing how preparations are underway.  He even met a few new friends along the way.

No doubt State Fair is the place to meet new friends and make memories.  Keep in mind, if you're heading out today, Hunger Task Force and Wells Fargo are working together to fight hunger.  If you bring two non-perishable food items to the park, you get in for $2.  For more great deals and everything State Fair in general, just click on the attached link.
