Milwaukee police safely find critically missing 11-year-old girl
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) --- So many people want to associate Halloween with the Mexican holiday "Day of The Dead" but it's hard to make the comparison.
"Day of The Dead" is really a day to celebrate, remember, and prepare special foods in honor of those who have departed.
The special occasion is highlighted this month at "Latino Arts, Inc." on Milwaukee's south side.
The gallery is showcasing the big event through artistic expression while it explores various symbolism tied to the day as well. Organizers say it's one of the most colorful observances for the entire year.
The actual "Day of The Dead" festivities begin on October 31st and conclude on November 2nd. The center itself is located at 1028 S.9th Street in Milwaukee. Click here to see what activities "Latino Arts, Inc." is offering to tie into the holiday.
