Last summer weekend will live up to its reputation

Just one week officially until the start of fall.  But looking at this forecast you really wouldn't know it.  We have lots of 80s for highs through the weekend and then it stays in the 70s into next week with yet another run at the 80s by Thursday and Friday. Lows will be in the 50s and 60s. Keep in mind, this time of year, a normal highs is in the lower 70s with lows in the lower 50s.

The rain chances look best throughout the day on Sunday but don't expect the precipitation to washout your plans.  We're talking about scattered activity.

There's another chance of showers or thunder showers on Tuesday and perhaps late next week.  Otherwise it should remain fairly quiet.  It's too bad most swimming pools are shut down for the season.  What we're going to experience this weekend in particular is certainly swimming weather.

Meantime, leaves will be peaking in a few weeks up north across the Northwoods.  Even there we'll see temps in the 70s today.
