Early voting begins in Milwaukee
PEWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A 29-year-old domestic violence suspect is in custody, after an hours-long standoff Saturday at a Pewaukee apartment complex, officials said.
According to a news release, the man was "armed with a handgun and a rifle" when he left the scene of an incident in Milwaukee earlier in the day.
Officials located his vehicle just after 11:15 a.m. near Highway 164 and Green Rd by the Bridlewood Apartment Homes.
That area remained blocked off to the public by police cars and orange cones for hours, as officials attempted to contact him via telephone and through public announcements "with no response."
Police from multiple agencies responded, including from Milwaukee and Waukesha police departments, the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office, S.W.A.T., and tactical enforcement teams.
Just after 3:30 p.m., officials said they arrested the suspect at the front door of the apartment.
