Lake Geneva woman accused of spending thousands of PTO money on Amazon

LAKE GENEVA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Lake Geneva woman faces theft charges. Authorities say she used money from a school parent group to spend thousands on Amazon.

According to the criminal complaint, 37-year-old Danielle Masoni linked the Central-Denison Elementary School's PTO bank account to her own Amazon account.

Between May of 2016 and February of last year, she made unauthorized purchases.

Masoni admitted to police that she was having financial trouble and that she wanted to give her kids a good Christmas. 

She will be court on June 14.
