Lake Geneva Fire Department warns of imposter with unsafe smoke detectors

LAKE GENEVA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- On Monday February 26 the Lake Geneva Fire Department was notified that someone in Lake Geneva was posing as a Firefighter while soliciting funds and non-approved smoke detectors.
The Fire Department said the person is in no way associated with the Lake Geneva Fire Department and that the smoke detectors they are leaving are not safe. The Fire Department said that their staff does not go out door to door and solicit funds.
