MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A Milwaukee restaurant gave away free meals Saturday, Dec. 27 to people in need without asking questions.
Krispy's Fish and Chicken, located at 41st and Capitol, began serving free community meals around 11 a.m. The owner prepared 1,000 free meals to give away.
Alderman Diandre Jackson helped with the giveaway. "The need is greater. Food costs more, everything costs more and the wages haven't gone up so keep pushing forward, pay it forward," Jackson said. "Help out where you can."
Jackson said Krispy's had already given away more than 400 meals by the time CBS 58 spoke with him.
