Kids donate hand sanitizer, wipes to Pleasant Prairie police along with heartwarming note

PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Generosity is pouring out amid the coronavirus pandemic, including in Pleasant Prairie.

In a Facebook post, the Pleasant Prairie Police Department gives a big shout out to two kids who gifted the department with hand sanitizer and wipes. Along with their donation was a handwritten, heartwarming note.

The note reads:

"Dear Police Officers,

We heard you're low on sanitizer so brought you some. Thank you for your service. Stay safe.

From, Dylan and Lilah"

The department was grateful for the gift saying, "This is just one of the many reasons we think Pleasant Prairie is the best community there is."

Pleasant Prairie police said their department is taking all the necessary steps and precautions to make sure they can protect and serve.
