United Performing Arts Fund to launch annual campaign in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Giving Tuesday is a day for all of us to think about helping others.
We've seen it happen in several places, including a Milwaukee elementary school.
Kids were picking out free winter coats at Lancaster School on the north side and standing tall over the scene was the man responsible -- Milwaukee Bucks forward Khris Middleton.
He and United Healthcare provided new winter jackets, plus whatever gloves, hats and scarves the kids needed for the cold months ahead.
It's something Middleton has done before as part of his "12 Days of Khrismas" holiday initiative.
"It's been great. It's been great to see the smiles on these kids' faces this morning," Middleton said. "Hopefully I've made some type of impact and hopefully able to keep them warm, also."
"The best part about today is seeing Khris Middleton and him giving back, giving back the coats to the students that don't have none," said Quintyn Sandlin Robinson, Student Council president.
It's the fourth year that Middleton and United Healthcare have offered the coats for Milwaukee kids.
