Hello August and goodbye July! Last month ended a streak of months with below-average rainfall. April, May and June were all well below-average on rainfall but July ended that with 4.33" of rainfall almost a full inch above the monthly July average. It was still less rain than we had in July of 2022 and officially goes down as the 32nd wettest July on record.
In addition to being a wet month, July was also warm. We had multiple days in the 90s and the two warmest days hit 91* on July 14 and 25. The coldest low in Milwaukee was very mild at only 59* on July 13. Overall July goes down as the 26th warmest July on record and 0.7* above-average.
Now we enter August. It's the second warmest month on average after July but we do see temps cool a bit. The average highs go from the low 80s to upper 70s and the low drop from the middle 60s to low 60s. August averages over 3.50" of rain.
