Jordan Johnson scored 23 points and added eight rebounds and five assists in Milwaukee's first conference win, 76-67 over Northern Kentucky Monday night.
The Panthers trailed by two at the half and had to wrestle the lead away from the Norse several times in the second half. Matt Tiby's layup with 11:21 remaining in the final period gave the Panthers a 53-51 lead. Tiby finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Johnson added two key plays just inside the 5:00 mark in the second half, picking up baskets and fouls on two consecutive possessions.
The win is Milwaukee's 10th overall this season and puts them at 1-1 in Horizon League play.
