GLENDALE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Monday morning, Johnson Controls held a grand opening celebration for their new facility.
The Warren Johnson Engineering Lab is located right next to the Johnson Controls campus in Glendale.
The move comes as the company was starting to outgrow their location in downtown Milwaukee, and the new facility will offer a chance to not only expand their services but also create a space geared more towards the needs of today.
"I'm extremely excited about the new facility," said Tom Seneczko, vice president of engineering, HVAC Control System. "It's a modern facility, it really sets us up for the digital future. It's a really collaborative space where all of our engineers are assembled in communities where they work together, they work on their independent teams, but also all teams are somewhat comingled, so we work together on system solutions for our customers."
Roughly 250 employees are expected to work at the new facility, which will focus on automation, data center systems and AI powered solutions.
