John Boler of Summerfest talks about booking a range of music on the CBS 58 News at 4:30 p.m.

It's a simple concept that has withstood the test of time.

Summerfest is celebrating 48 years of providing the backdrop for the music industry's hottest stars, emerging talent and local favorites to create unforgettable live music experiences in a world-class festival setting.

On any given day, attendees can enjoy alternative, rock, country, R&B, pop, reggae headliners and more.

John Boler, the Chief Marketing Officer at Summerfest and Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. was a special live guest on the CBS 58 News at 4:30 p.m. with Bill Walsh and Michele McCormack.

\"Our programming strategy is to all genres,\" Boler said. \"We want the fan favorites but also stay new. Techno is a hot sector and we're bringing more of it here. Kaskade was a perfect example. We also have Paris Hilton coming in to do a DJ set. It's going to be a party, a good time.\"
