Job fair held to fill 1,200 positions at new Bucks arena

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Wisconsin Entertainment and Sports Center is hosting a job fair, hoping to fill hundreds of positions.

The Bucks are looking for people to work in guest experience, box office, retail, and security in order to fill 1,200 new part-time positions.

Arena food provider Levy is also looking for cooks, bartenders, and concession workers. Candidates get the chance to speak with hiring managers about why they are the best person for the job.

Officials want to make sure they're fully staffed for all the upcoming events later this year.

"I think this is a great thing. This is a lot of positions that are going to be added to a lot more events that are going to happen in our arena, so it's giving people the option for flexible positions potentially secondary roles or supplemental income, and bringing a lot more people downtown," said Bucks Senior Vice President of Human Resources Kelly Kauffman.

The job fair goes on until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday night. The hiring process will start in July.
