Jewish Community Pantry distributes food, diapers and car seats on Milwaukee's north side

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Congratulations to the folks at the Jewish Community Pantry on Milwaukee's north side.

On Thursday, March 24, they were busy passing out food for families along with 5,000 diapers and 40 car safety seats.

Milwaukee police helped safely install those seats.

The weather was rainy, but the lines were long.

Acting Mayor Cavalier Johnson was there and he pointed to those lines to show that there are a lot of people in need in the city.

Thursday's giveaway takes only a small bite out of that need.
