MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- September 20th marks one year since the passing of Marty Hintz, a Milwaukee writer, small business owner, traveler, storyteller and community ambassador who was very much like the father he never met.
Marty's dad, Loren Hintz, was killed near the end of World War Two, weeks before Marty was born. A fighter pilot with the Army Air Force, Loren Hintz's aircraft was shot down over Italy. Then, Marty died before he could finish a documentary about the search for his dad's remains.
But thanks to Marty's widow, Pam Percy and others the film was completed and premieres this Saturday at the Bradley Symphony Center.
On CBS 58 Sunday Morning, Mike Strehlow shined the spotlight on the remarkable lives of a father and son, and the making of the documentary "Finding Loren."
