Investigators searching for inmate who walked away from work release site in Kenosha County

KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The search is on for a second minimum security inmate who was able to get away from the Robert E. Ellsworth Correctional Center on Friday.

Investigators say 41-year-old Jennifer Drost walked away from a work release site in Kenosha County. The DOC says the incident has been reported to the Racine County and Kenosha County Sheriff's Offices.

On Thursday evening another minimum-security inmate, Christine Abel, also escaped from the same facility.

According to court records, Drost has been convicted of several crimes including battery, operating while intoxicated, possession of drug paraphernalia, and more than a dozen traffic and municipal violations.

Anyone with information on Drost's whereabouts is asked to call police.
