Investigation underway after death of inmate in Franklin

FRANKLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- An investigation is underway after the death of a man in custody yesterday at the Milwaukee County Community Reintegration Center in Franklin.

Staff say they found him unresponsive in his cell as a result of self-harm.

They called 9-1-1 and used CPR to restore his pulse.

He was brought to the hospital where he later died.

The Racine County Sheriff's Office is now investigating.
