Investigation underway after 15-month-old bit by family dog, taken to hospital

TOWN OF GRAFTON, Wis. (CBS 58) – An investigation is underway after a 15-month-old child was bit by a family dog on Wednesday.

According to the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the home around 3 p.m. Family says the child was bit by their family dog, an American Pit Bull Terrier.

The child was taken to Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee for treatment. The extent of her injuries is unknown.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances leading up to the bite.
