Increased Charges Expected for Milwaukee Daughter who Beat Mother to Death

On August 14 Milwaukee Police responded to a residence in the 2200 block of South 16th Street around 11:00 PM for a battery report. 63-year-old Shelby Manriquez, the victim, suffered serious injuries during an alleged assault by her adult daughter.
Manriquez was transported to a local hospital where she died on August 31.
Her daughter, 35-year-old Vicenta Manriquez already had 1st Degree Reckless Injury charges filed against her due to the assault on August 14. Those charges are expected to be amended to 1st Degree Reckless Homicide by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office in the coming days.
