Improvements coming to Tosa's Landing at Hoyt Park

The Landing at Hoyt Park in Wauwatosa is preparing to open its outdoor beer garden for the season on Wednesday, May 17, with more seating, improved shade and additional service options to help reduce long lines on busy days.

The improvements for The Landing’s fourth season are part of the nonprofit Friends of Hoyt Park & Pool’s ongoing mission to create a welcoming gathering space where the community can enjoy food and drinks, live music and the outdoor beauty of Hoyt Park in the summer.

“The Landing has been a big part of FOHPP’s success story since the beer garden opened in 2013. We’re pleased to be able to offer improvements that will further enhance the experience for our patrons,” Executive Director Kit Slawski said.

Some of the key improvements include:

  • Additional beer garden tables and benches.
  • Additional shade structures and shade trees.
  • A mobile service station, to be used on high-volume days.

FOHPP also is pleased to offer gift cards for the first time this year, in response to numerous requests from our patrons. The cards can be purchased in any denomination and can be used in The Landing or the TOSA Pool concession stand.

The Landing’s hours are 3 to 9 PM Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and noon to 9 PM Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. TOSA Pool opens for the season May 27, and memberships are still available at tosapool.org/members.

The TOSA Pool and The Landing at Hoyt Park are operated by the Friends of Hoyt Park & Pool, a nonprofit group that raised money to build the pool. FOHPP has a 55-year lease with Milwaukee County to operate the pool and does not receive taxpayer support.
