MILWAUKEE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Maroon and gold filled Milwaukee bars as Loyola students, graduates and fans cheered the Ramblers on in the NCAA Tournament Final Four.
Cheers filled Steny's Tavern and Grill in Milwaukee as more than 40 Ramblers fans filled the bar. A Loyola University Chicago alumni group set up the watch party and was shocked to see so many Milwaukee residents came out to support the team.
"It's exciting that everyone knows our name, it's exciting that we have a lot of support, a lot of underdog support," David Songco, Loyola Alumni said.
The Michigan Wolverines took on the Ramblers with a 69-57 win. Even as Loyola’s Cinderella story has come to an end, many fans are happy the Ramblers made it all the way to the Final Four.
"I couldn't be more proud of Loyola," Songco said.
