I-43 Shut Down after Woman Driving Erratically Causes Rollover

On Sunday March 19 at 10:40 AM the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department and the Village of Big Bend Police Department responded to a two car crash on I-43 south at Evergreen Road in Vernon.   

Upon investigation it was determined a black Chevrolet SUV driven by a 31-year-old woman was traveling erratically and at a high rate of speed. The black Chevrolet side swiped a silver GMC SUV, driven by a 42-year-old man from Mukwonago. The impact caused the Chevrolet to roll over ejecting the driver. No one else was in the Chevrolet

The 31-year-old driver of the Chevrolet was transported by ambulance to Froedtert Hospital. The 42-year-old driver of the silver GMC along with his 16-year-old passenger were not injured.

The accident is under investigation by the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department.
