Housing Authority Celebrates Improvements made by $30 Million Grant for Westlawn Neighborhoods

There was a lot to celebrate at the Housing Authority's annual meeting on Tuesday.

A breakfast block party was held in the Westlawn Neighborhood.

That area is undergoing a huge transformation thanks to a $30 million federal grant to improve the housing, schools and services in that area.

What you don't see as often is what is happening in the neighborhoods and we all know about the transformation that has taken place here on the eastern part of west lawn how we have taken what was one of our first, if not the first housing complexes in the city and we dared to dream."

$250 million of public and private investments have also been made in the Westlawn Neighborhood.
