Hot start to June

It has been a sizzling start to June through the first 18 days. With highs in the upper 70s Sunday it is the 13th straight above-average day. During that stretch we've had four days in the 90s! Through Sunday, the average temperature in June is 82.6° which is 7.7° above-average. If we continue to stay this warm we are on track for the warmest June on record.

But the big word there is "if". The new work week looks to start out a little cooler with highs only in the middle 70s for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. With an average high on Monday of 77° it does look like we stay below-average ending our streak of above-average days at 13.

Some more warmth may return towards the end of the work week into the weekend but most of the 10-day forecast stays in the 70s.
