Hot Holiday Forecast

While average temperatures in Milwaukee slip to 75° over the holiday weekend, we'll be bracing for hot and humid conditions with temperatures well into the mid to upper 80s and possibly some 90s, especially on Sunday. Saturday starts off with areas of fog and some clouds, but then sunshine should break out with temps into the middle 80s by the afternoon. Winds will be relatively light from the south. Sunday looks hot and humid with plenty of sun and Monday holds a chance for storms. Here's your holiday planner:

While storms may be strong across the high plains, by the time the storms arrive here, we're looking at non-severe storms with possibly some brief downpours. The storms will also be hit or miss rather than widespread. The map below shows a marginal risk for storms barely touching western Wisconsin on Sunday. The daylight period of Sunday will remain dry around here, but you may see a few more clouds spill in later on in the evening.

By the time we get into the predawn hours of Monday, we'll be watching the progression of a cold front approaching from the west.

As you can see, showers will likely kick-off just out ahead of the boundary. The best time for showers and possibly a few t-showers will be from 5-9am. By the afternoon we'll likely see partly cloudy conditions and still warm, despite the front passing through. Most spots will still make it up to the middle 80s. Hope you all enjoy this holiday weekend and what could be our last push of significant heat for the season.
