Homicide occurs with police just a block away

A homicide occurred in the 2100 block of West Greenfield at 7:00 PM on July 29.
Milwaukee Police officers were one block away checking on an abandoned home when they heard the shot and observed the subjects running towards them eastbound on Greenfield, both were apprehended after a short foot chase.
A 22 year-old man with ties to Milwaukee was shot during a dispute with two other individuals on the street.
He suffered a gunshot wound and died at the scene despite life saving efforts of Milwaukee police and fire units.
A firearm believed used in this offense was also recovered.
