MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It's not even Thanksgiving, but early or not, downtown Milwaukee is slowly getting its Christmas makeover.
On Tuesday, Nov. 12, students from three different schools were at Cathedral Square Park decorating trees they adopted in what will become "Community Spirit Park" and from what the academic advisor for the Milwaukee Academy of Excellence tells us, it's not too early for their students.
"They look forward since August, when our school year starts," said Ismarie Hernandez, academic advisor for the Milwaukee Academy of Excellence. "Since August they're working on these decorations so they get really excited."
