Wisconsin home sales increased 16.9% in July compared to last year, according to the Wisconsin Realtors Association.
The median price rose to 3.8% to $163,999 during the same time frame last year.
\"This is the strongest spring and early summer sales volume we've seen since before the recession,\" said Dan Kruse, WRA Board Chairman.
The supply of available housing continues to tighten. In July it dipped somewhat with pressure on inventories.
\"It has become a serious problem in the cities,\" said WRA President and CEO Michael Theo.
