Home in rural Walworth County destroyed by fire Saturday afternoon

Fire destroyed a mobile home just west of the Walworth County community of Lyons this afternoon. According to the Town of Lyons Fire Department, around 1:50 PM they were called to a fire on Sunrise Trail.  Fire officials say about three-quarters of the mobile home was damaged by the blaze making the structure unlivable. There were three people at home at the time of the fire. The people and their dog were able to escape the fire unharmed. The displaced family is being assisted by the Red Cross.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.
