MILWAUKEE -- Students at Milwaukee’s Windlake Elementary School got a special delivery on Thursday.
All 193 kids were given gifts from students at Whitefish Bay High School. The high school students raised money to buy all of the presents and hand delivered them.
“The kids were like jumping in anticipation for their presents and when they finally opened them they were just like running around the classroom,” Whitefish Bay High school student Jack Styler said. “They were so happy.”
A former Whitefish Bay student came up with the idea for the holiday gift drive. She was inspired after working as a summer school aide at Windlake.
