MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A suspect shot at officers Wednesday morning. April 13, at a home near 27th and Vienna on Milwaukee's north side.
Police says they responded to the area for a ShotSpotter call around 3 a.m.
When officers arrived, an individual fired multiple rounds towards them, and they established a tactical situation. Several houses and a police vehicle were struck by the suspects gunfire. No officers returned fire and no one sustained injuries from the suspect’s gunfire.
Police say around 6:50 a.m., the suspect was arrested.
A black pickup truck was towed away from the scene as it's part of the investigation.
CBS 58 spoke with a woman named Delores Sanford who lives next door. A bullet went through her daughter's bedroom while she was sleeping.
"He was yelling and screaming, you can hear him in the house moving his furniture. You can hear him screaming. You can hear the gunshots in his house," Sanford said. "For a bullet to come through my baby's window, it's no words."
Police say no one was hurt.
Criminal charges against the suspect be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the upcoming days.
