It was a hot and humid holiday weekend and that weather pattern isn't going anywhere. We've now strung together nine days in a row with temperatures at or above 80*. The record for consecutive days in the 80s or above is 22 set back in 1921. Given the weather pattern we are in and looking at the long term trends we may break that record.
Most of this week will once again be hot and humid with highs around 90* for most of this week. Tuesday looks to be the warmest.
Dew points stay around 70* for the next few days in the tropical category so expect the humidity to stick around. Add the humidity onto the heat and it's going to feel like the middle to upper 90s the next few days.
All of the heat and humidity Monday and Tuesday will give way to some afternoon and early evening pop up storms. Expect any showers on Monday to stay fairly light and quick hitting but a few downpours are possible. Tuesday's storms may be a bit more widespread but some will still stay dry.
Download the CBS 58 ready Weather app to see if there's any end it sight to the heat and humidity.
