MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Summerfest grounds is a hub of activity with Festa Italiana kicking off a busy festival season this weekend, May 31 through June 2.
The Big Gig opens in just over three weeks, June 20-22, June 27-29 and July 4-6. One of the major sponsors is bringing new events to the festival grounds.
Wednesday, Aurora Heatlh Care announced free community events this year, separate from Summerfest.
Aurora has revamped their pavilion at Henry Maier Festival Park, and they're taking advantage of the space with a new Health and Wellness Festival.
The free event -- set for Sept. 8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. -- includes everything from cooking demonstrations to star-studded workouts.
Aurora's Health and Wellness Festival kicks off Sept. 8.
They're also partnering with Northwestern Mutual to host a family event on July 7, aimed at teaching kids about their health.
