Heads up drivers: I-41/US 45 full freeway closure to get underway this weekend

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A freeway closure postponed twice by bad weather has been rescheduled. The Wisconsin Zoo Interchange North Leg Project involves a section of I-41/US 45 in Wauwatosa.
The stretch of roadway between Watertown Plank Road and Burleigh will close in both directions at 11 p.m. Friday, July 29, and remain closed until 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1.
The shutdown will allow crews to install new beams to the Union Pacific Railroad bridge that travels over the highway. The main detour will be Mayfair Road.
So far, it does not appear the weather will delay the project again.
