The family of a teenager who drowned in Lake Michigan is remembering him as a kind person who always offered a shoulder to lean on.
"He was just special like I just can't say enough. He was just a lovely boy," his mother Erica Griffin said.
Family and friends of Armani Griffin gathered for a vigil in Lincoln Park.
The 16-year-old was with two friends on Sunday when he drowned in Lake Michigan.
His friends say he enjoyed helping people and wanted to be a psychologist when he grew up.
