Hazmat situation resolved at Franklin residence, substance found not harmful

FRANKLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A hazmat situation has since been resolved at a Franklin residence after unknown substances were found to not be harmful on Monday, March 22. 

Franklin police and the Franklin Fire Department conducted an investigation at a residence near Autumn Ridge Drive and Cobblestone Way in Franklin shortly after 11 a.m. 

During the investigation, officials say unknown substances were located inside the residence. 

All building residences were evacuated and the Milwaukee Fire Department's Hazardous Materials (HazMat) Team was requested to assist.

Through the HazMat Team's investigation, officials say they determined that the substances were not harmful. 

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
