Hartland man wins $1.2 million playing Megabucks

HARTLAND, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A Hartland man has come forward after winning $1.2 in a Megabucks drawing back in December. 

John Petrusek bought his winning ticket at Fox Brother's Piggly Wiggly on Cottonwood Avenue in Hartland. The store will receive an incentive up to $100,000 for selling the ticket.

The winning numbers from the December 9 drawing were 5, 17, 28, 30, 42, and 44.  

Megabucks is Wisconsin's own lotto game. Drawings take place every Wednesday and Saturday night. As of Wednesday, February 14, the Megabucks jackpot is estimated at $1.1 million for the night's drawing.
