Grand opening of the Associate Bank Theater Center the new home of Milwaukee Rep. Theater

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- It's a new chapter for Milwaukee's theater scene this weekend.
Today, Oct. 11, was the grand opening of the Associated Bank Theater Center.
It's a new home for the Milwaukee Repertory Theater, one of the four venues right along the river on Wells Street downtown.
The theater features new carpets, larger seats, accessible restrooms and a lounge for the Rep's top donors.
CBS 58 spoke with the theater's General Manager, Ryan Looke, who says it took a village to complete the project.
"We restarted in 2021 and have been going through here and leading up to this night has been incredibly special," said Looke. "We have over 30,000 man-hours in this project, so it is full team-city effort to get Milwaukee to where it is today."
The updated Rep is looking towards the future with its renovations, it now houses the new 2,700 square foot Herzfeld Foundation Education and Engagement Center with classroom, rehearsal and performance spaces to help the next generation find a passion for theater.
