Governor Walker speaks at State Education Convention

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) – Governor Scott Walker spoke Friday at the State Education Convention in Milwaukee. He said this year’s state budget is going to make a big difference in classrooms statewide.

“That means an extra $200 for every student in every school, in every school, in every district across Wisconsin. That’s what was invested this year and on top of that, next year, this next school year, there will be an extra $204 for every student, in every school, in every district, in every part of the state of Wisconsin,” Gov. Walker said Friday.

Walker says the 2018 budget has invested $11.5 billion in K-12 education.
